| 초록 | 현재 우리나라는 IMF와 코로나19의 모범적 극복과 세계를 뒤흔드는 한류 등을 바탕으로 국제정치적 위상도 높아짐으로써 ‘민족재도약’의 기회를 맞고 있다. 그러나 이런 민족저력의 뿌리를 가르쳐야 할 국민 역사 교재인 국사 교과서는 일제가 만든 식민사학을 벗어나지 못하고 ‘못난 민족’이라는 자괴감과 패배의식만 심어 주고 있다. 이런 교과서로는 겨레의 미래를 기대하기 어렵다. 국사교과서에서는 당시의 역사기록과 발굴된 유물·유적, 언어와 민속 등의 전통문화 등과 비교·분석하여 밝혀진 ‘바른 역사’를 가르쳐야 한다. 그런데, 현재의 교과서가 이런 바른 역사학자들의 연구 결과는 무시하고, 100년 전 조선총독부가 빈약한 근거를 바탕으로 우리 겨레에게 ‘못난 민족’이라고 가르치기 위해 왜곡·날조하여 만든 식민사학 교재를 따르고 있는 현실을 제한된 자료를 근거로 밝혔다. 구체적으로는, 고조선을 신화적으로 보면서 그 영토에서 남한을 제외하고, 1980년대에 사라졌던 평양-낙랑군을 다시 표기했으며, 신라의 통일 이후 조선왕조까지 우리 땅이었던 만주지역을 우리 영토에서 제외시키고, 발해의 후손을 이민족으로 내쳤다. 그러면서 ‘삼국과 가야의 성립’ 등 가야를 삼국과 대등한 위치로 격상시켜 식민사학 교재의 ‘가야=임나’로 본 임나일본부설을 인정하고, 독립협회 등 일본의 조종에 놀아난 일본 앞잡이들을 선각자 내지 독립운동가로 호도했다. 이것은 우리나라 국사교과서가 아니라 조선총독부가 식민지 조선인을 영원한 식민지로 만들려는 조선총독부 교과서다. 이런 교과서를 배운 우리 젊은이들이 요즘 세계적으로 보이고 있는 우리의 민족저력을 현대화시켜 민족재도약을 선도해나가기를 기대할 수는 없다. 하루빨리 ‘민족저력이 살아 있는’ 바른 국사교과서가 만들어지기를 기대한다. |

| Abstract | Now Korea is facing a chance to take off internationally since the Korean wave and global reputations on the successful overcomming of economic crisis and corona virus pandemic. However, many Koreans feel senses of inferiority from the textbooks on Korean history which still describes greatly distorted histories formed by Japanese colonial government. We can hardly expect our future from those textbooks. History textbook should teach true national history revealed after thorough analysis by comparing the records in literatures and excavated relics with national languages, folk culture, philosophy, etc. In this article, I reviewed the realities of present Korean history textbooks solely based on the Japanese colonial texts intended to erase true history of ancient Korea and, therefore, to transform the Korean to Japanese permanently. In details, they describe ancient Choseon as mythical images, excludes the territory of South Korea from the state, revive the Four commandaries of Han around pyeongyang, remove Manchuria from our territory reigned by Korean ancestor for long periods, and consider the Balhae as a foreign country. Furthmore, they emphasize the false theory of Japanese colonial government in Gaya territory. These textbooks are not Korean ones but those of Japanese colonial government. We never could expect for the youths to realize our pontentials to lead the future of Korea for more developed state. I anxiously hope the Korea history textbooks to be born again expressing the true face of Korea. |
