| Abstract | This article is devoted to the history of the Scythian tribes, who lived on the territory of Ukraine in the period VII - IV centuries BC. In the article, on the basis of the work of “The Histories” of Herodotus other old historians, and archeological researches of the 19th - 21st centuries, an attempt is made to generalize information about the political and economical life of the Scythians. Historical and archaeological information on the geographical location of the Scythians, their settlements, economy, crafts, military, etc. are analyzed. Information from the writings of ancient historians is compared with old and new archaeological studies. In addition, some interesting Scythian traditions, religion rituals are analyzed. |
