| 초록 | 弘益人間은 ‘널리 인간 세상에 道를 넘치게 하여 널리 골고루 인간을 이롭 게 한다’이다. 이는 배달국과 고조선의 우주관, 윤리관 및 가치관을 나타내고, 神市 開天之道의 내용을 압축한 槪念語로 대한민국의 건국·정치·교육·윤리 이념이다. 이 것이 주는 현대사회에서의 가치 지향점은 인본주의로 세상에 지식·인정·意思·情 報·일자리·물자 등이 물처럼 넘쳐흐르게 하는 것이고, 막힘이 없는 원활한 소통을 의미한다. 따라서 홍익인간은 한국적 인문학·사회과학·자연과학의 출발점으로서 의 의의뿐만 아니라 현대사회가 안고 있는 과제들을 해결하기 위한 방향과 방안을 제시하고 있다. 弘益人間은 한국의 교육이념으로 명시되기 전에도 한국의 인적자본 형성에 많은 향을 주어 한국인의 뜨거운 교육열로 나타났고, 이렇게 형성된 인적 자본은 한국의 건국, 산업화 및 민주화의 원동력이 되었다. 홍익인간을 교육이념으로 한다는 것은 우리 모두가 홍익하는 것을 의미한다. 내가 다른 사람들에게 유리하게 하려면 적어도 해를 끼치지 않는 사람이 되어야 한다. 해 를 끼치지 않는 인간이 되려면 풍부한 지식을 가지고 건강해야 하며, 사람은 나뿐만 아니라 인간행복을 위해 활동하는 것이다. 이를 위해서는 德智體情育의 원만한 인격 을 도야하고 완성해야하므로 전인교육의 가르침과 학습이 중요하다. 인간에게 지식과 정보 및 재물을 불려서 넘쳐나도록 풍요롭게 한다는 것은 경제성장 과 富의 축적에 기여한 각자의 몫에 따라 고르게 배분되는 상생하는 공동체를 의미 한다. 그러나 모두가 똑같이 나누는 평등을 의미하는 것이 아니라 살아있는 동안 잘 다스려 인도하라는 것으로서 보편적인 자유, 정의, 화평의 방향으로 동화시키는 것 을 뜻한다. 홍익인간을 경제발전의 필수조건인 발전정신으로 발현시키기 위해서는 ① 홍익인 간은 인류의 발전과 복지에 헌신하는 로드맵이 있는 전략가이며 전문가가 되어야 함을 의미한다. ➁ 시장경제의 도덕적 기초인 자연적 자유와 정의가 바로 서야 한다. ➂ 국민 각자의 다양성을 살려 그들만의 분야에서 각자의 방법으로 사회에 공헌하 도록 한다. ➃ 개개인의 창의성은 치열한 경쟁과 혁신 속에서 기회를 만들어 내는 것이므로 정신과 지식 면에서 내실 있는 교육훈련을 지속적으로 시켜야 한다. 이를 위하여 정신자본의 형성에 더 많은 비중을 두는 교과과정의 변화가 필요하다. 기본이념과 꿈으로 구성되는 비전은 원대한 꿈을 실현시킬 수 있는 이념의 틀이고 실천하면 기적이 되는 것이다. 한국의 비전으로 다음을 제안하고 싶다. 기본이념은 홍익인간, 핵심가치관은 자유민주주의와 시장경제, 핵심목표는 일류 선진국인 부 민덕국富民德國, 담대한 목표는 한국이 교육·과학기술·경제·문화의 창조혁신생태 계중심지가 되는 것이다. 현시대는 폭발하는 천재성과 번성하는 위험성이 대립하는 신문예부흥 시대다. 홍익 인간은 도道와 자연의 흐름처럼 물이 흐르듯 자연스럽고 자발적인 생산과 교역 활동 을 할 것을 주장한다. 사람은 각자의 소질이나 분야 및 추구하는 가치가 다른 만큼 각자 일의 가치를 깨달아 일하고 혁신하며 도전하는 것이야 말로 가난에서 벗어나고 국부를 증진시키는 최선의 방법이다. 모두가 다른 사람에게 피해를 주지 않고 올바 른 일을 하면서 각자가 사회를 위해 무엇을 할 수 있을까를 고민하면서 일한다면 그 것이 홍익인간하는 것이다. 노동의 신성함, 자기책임의 원칙, 근면과 성실, 다양성 하에서 자신과 가족의 건강, 부 및 행복을 추구하고 이웃을 돌보는 것이 나라를 위대 하게 만들 것이다. |

| Abstract | Humanitarian Ideal is ‘to widely spread the fundamentals of the universe to the human world and as a by-product to widely and evenly benefits the human being’ which is not only the outlook on the universe, ethics and values of the Baedalguk and Gojoseon, but also the ideology of founding, ruling, politics, education and ethics of Korea. HI means that a community communicating well with each other, overflows with knowledge, compassion, idea, information, jobs, commodities, and so on, which result in symbiotic relationship. Even before being identified as a Korean educational philosophy, HI has been influential in the formation of human capital which has become a driving force of Korea's founding, industrialization and democratization. The spirit of HI is timely as the core concept of the advanced economy for a Neo-renaissance era with explosive genius and proliferating danger confronted, because it incorporates both economic growth and balanced income distribution according to each individual's contribution. It means that people as individuals or a community produce, add, and exchange goods and services, knowledge, and information, and through this exchange those commodities become more abundant and diffuse throughout the community, with the end goal of physical and emotional benefits to the community as a whole. In order to manifest HI spirit as a spirit of development, ① HI is to become a strategist and/or a specialist with a road map to human development and welfare. ➁ HI has to be strengthened by introducing the mechanism of market economy. ③ In this way, HI can stimulate each individual to contribute to society by encouraging him or her to display diversity in one or more of millions of areas. ➃ Because personal creativity springs from fierce competition and innovation, solid education and training should be provided continuously to place everybody on a level playing field. Therefore, it is necessary to change a curriculum in order to emphasize the formation of mental capital. A vision composed of basic ideals and dreams is a framework of ideas that can realize a grand dream, and become a miracle when practiced. I would like to suggest the following as the vision of Korea. The core ideology is Hongikingan, the core values are liberal democracy and market economy, the key goal is the leading advanced country, and the bold goal is that Korea becomes the creative innovation ecosystem center of education, science technology, economy and culture in the world. Insisting on natural and voluntary production and trade activities like water flow and nature flow, HI is the best way for people to get out of poverty and promote national wealth by working, innovating and challenging by realizing the value of their own work, as each person has different backgrounds, fields, and values to pursue. Under the divine nature of labor, the principle of self-responsibility, diligence and sincerity, and diversity, pursuing the health, wealth and happiness of self and family, and caring for neighbors will make the nation great. |
